A shared professional support structure for independent school owners.

Running a small or mid-sized school often means handling HR and other issues alone.

When MY English School was smaller, I often wished I had regular access to an employment and labor specialist— not just in emergencies, but for routine clarity and reassurance. Independent retainers felt out of reach at that stage.

The IOT Chamber begins with shared HR support to solve that problem collectively.

Partner – Nakako Yamada (Reiwa HR Solutions)

Labor and Social Security Attorney (社会保険労務士)

Retained jointly by the Chamber.

What Membership Includes

  • 12 Monthly Group HR Q&A Sessions (30 minutes)
  • 2 Private 30-minute Consultations per year (guaranteed)
  • Structured scheduling system to ensure fairness
  • Limited membership to protect quality
  • (Sessions must be reserved within Nakako Yamada’s scheduling availability.)

Membership Cost and Basic Terms

  • Minimum membership term – 12 months
  • Annual Membership Fee – ¥44,000 (tax included)
  • Membership capped at 18 schools
  • Minimum 15 schools required to start (12 schools currently enrolled)
  • Membership will be confirmed upon receipt of commitment and payment.

Group Cost Transparency

The Chamber retains HR advisory services at:

¥55,000 per month
¥660,000 per year

At 15 members, the structure operates at cost, with administrative coordination provided by MY English School.
If fully subscribed at 18 members, the modest difference supports administrative coordination, scheduling, communication, operational overhead, and a small Chamber reserve.

This initiative is not designed as a profit center, but as a shared service structure.  MY English School has its own 社会保険労務士 on retainer, so will not be one of the member schools.

For reference, Nakako’s standard advisory rate is ¥27,500 per hour (minimum charge 1 hour) for individual consultation in English.

Additional consultations for Chamber members beyond the included sessions are available at a discounted ¥22,000 per hour.

Why This Model Works

  • Predictable HR access without full independent retainers
  • Cost-sharing among similar schools
  • Reduced compliance risk
  • Practical, industry-specific context
  • Peer environment with aligned challenges
